MEET THE PASTOR

Pastor Tommy and Sherry Hogan
Pastor Tommy Hogan
Head Pastor
Pastor Tommy Hogan was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on November 27th 1971. His father was in the U.S. Air Force. Raised mostly in South Louisiana, he came to know Christ as his personal Saviour in 1983 at Calvary Heights Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. He surrendered to the call of the Gospel in March of 1998 while attending Gonzales Baptist Temple in Gonzales, LA. Pastor Tommy Hogan knew that God’s will for him was to one day serve in the capacity as a pastor. Needing practical ministry experience, he served closely with his pastor, Pastor Clint Johnson.

During these years he learned how to serve God’s people in a way that would honor and glorify the Saviour. He was ordained in January of 1999 and completed his Bachelor degree in 2000 from Louisiana Baptist University. While attending Gonzales Baptist Temple, Pastor Tommy Hogan was asked about the possibility of pastoring a small work in Luling, LA. After meeting with church planter, Brother Curtis Gibson, who began the work in Luling, and after much prayer, Pastor Tommy Hogan agreed to candidate for the position. After the second visit to the church, Pastor Tommy Hogan and his family knew that this is where God wanted them. On June 25, 2009, the congregation voted to call Pastor Tommy Hogan as their pastor.
